Open Session 2 Ideas:

Post ideas for Session 1 here!  This is where you participate.  Create a session title and a brief description or, edit someone else's title and description.  Have a completely different idea?  Add it to the list and we will decide based on who has interest.

Let's discuss learning object repository development and use, particularly in the Midwest. What software packages are your institutions using to host your own repositories? What units in your institutions are responsible for your repositories? What collaborative relationships exist among institutions? What federated repositories exist in our region? What processes/policies have your institutions created to encourage the creation and use of learning objects, and how is it going?

I would also like to learn about how your institutions are handling learning objects designed for internal use. For instance, through what software are you enabling departments/colleges within your institutions to create searchable repositories of objects that only their students and faculty members can access?

Who has Interest:

If you have an interest in one of the stated topics, please post your name and the topic that interests you (also list whether you would be willing to lead).

  • Sarah Ross-Lazarov -- I posted the learning object repository topics.
  • Alan Wolf -- I am interested in the soft-side why and how people use materials in repositories and digital learning materials in general.
  • David Wirth

Time/Date/Location:

10:50 AM-11:50 AM, July 8, 2008, Location TBD
